yha queenstown lakefront was even better than my last visit! the location is perfect, just a short walk to shops and restaurants. everything was clean and recently renovated, and the beds in the dorms were so comfy. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the private shower in the girls dorm room was a nice touch.
Bathroom cleanliness needs improvement.

We had a wonderful stay here! The location was perfect, right by the tranquil lake, but only a short 5-10 minute walk to the bustling town center. The service was impeccable; the staff was always polite and helpful. The shared kitchen was very spacious and the dining area had lovely garden furniture. The room amenities, including the heating and air conditioning, were spot on. The leisure facilities, such as the BBQ and TV room, were fantastic. We also appreciated the ski storage and hiking recommendations.
This place is highly recommended to anyone visiting this area!

I recently stayed in a wonderful hostel in Queenstown that had a fabulous location and great value for money. The place was very clean and the rooms were comfortable. The hostel was centrally located, making it easy to walk to all the attractions in town. The 24/7 Night Owl store right next door was a convenient bonus. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hostel to others.

Convenient location with easy access to attractions and activities. Clean and comfortable beds. Despite being a youth hostel, the noise level was manageable.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this place. The location was perfect - slightly outside of the main town area, in a quiet place right next to the lake, but still just a 5-10 minute walk to the busy town center. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning. The service and housekeeping were top-notch, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. We made use of the laundry facilities, which had plenty of space to dry our clothes. The shared kitchen had everything we needed, and there were lots of places to sit and socialize or find a quiet spot. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with lots of information. it was a great experience and we would highly recommend this place to families.

The bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. the location was great, just a short walk to the city center and with easy off-street parking available. there were plenty of power outlets to charge all your devices, which was a big plus.
The walls were thin, which made for some noise issues, especially at night. there were a few rules that seemed to be inconsistently enforced.

Spotless and comfy facilities, friendly staff, and stunning lake views from the sitting area. Plenty of kitchen space and private amenities in the girls' dorms. Also, a free food shelf to minimize waste.
Hard to think of anything.

The location was superb, right by the lake and just a short walk away from the city center. The spacious and clean kitchen was a highlight, with plenty of cooking space and equipment. The hostel had a great communal area, where you could relax and enjoy the stunning views.
The doors slamming shut all the time was quite annoying, and there was no way to close them quietly. the drawers in the kitchen were not labelled correctly, making it a bit difficult to find things.

Conveniently located hostel with fine lake views. Our private room offered a cozy retreat, although we did experience some noise from the ceiling. The bathroom was clean, and the individual plugs at the 8-bed dorm were a great feature. The kitchen was well equipped, and the hostel's proximity to Lake Wakatipu was a bonus. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we would recommend YHA Queenstown Lakefront for a pleasant stay.
